Quilted in Honor

Quilted in HonorThe Quilted In Honor Traveling Quilt Exhibit is due to arrive at Patchwork Plus in mid-September and will be on display at the shop through mid-October.  Each of the 52 quilts has been designed specifically for Quilted In Honor by celebrity quilters who have lent their names and donated patterns to the project.

In addition to the quilt exhibit, many other exciting activities are being planned.

  • Invitations are going out to local dignitaries to attend our Quilted In Honor grand opening.
  • Special music by our local High School Band
  • We will welcome buses from Western New York and Canada.
  • Thumbstall Quilt Guild, our local quilt guild, will make a Quilts of Valor (QOV) presentation to a returning veteran and we will host the family and friends for the ceremony.
  • Thumbstall Quilt Guild also plans to be at the shop working on a QOV quilt, using the Quilted In Honor fabric, for a future presentation.
  • We will have kits available for selected exhibit quilts.
  • Look for a patriotic theme for the Fall Shop Hop, October 9 – 12.
  • …and so much more!
